The Jasper Casper
by Rudy Hoinojosa, Lightwave Library
I’m hoping to make a huge hit with our upcoming free Windows software, Jasper Casper. The original name is Koha-Jasper, but we’ll see what sticks as we draw closer to the release data by end of 3rd Qtr 2024.
Koha-Jasper, KJ, is a report capturing utility for Koha, or any other software that outputs CSV (Comma Separated Values) reporting. It allows the user to capture a file and design a report around it using the Jasper Studio software that comes included with the installation. The software runs as a service in your system tray, and remember the next time the report is downloaded, and will automatically display the rendered report for printing or exporting. Here are some screenshots:

If KJ is mapped and expecting that filename, it automatically processes it for rendering.
The final product will come with canned reports to import into your Koha instance.
