by Stefano Bargioni and Franziska Wallner on behalf of Koha Gruppo Italiano
On November 19th 2013, the American University of Rome hosted a half day conference on e-learning and open source for libraries. Guest speaker, Donna Scheeder, IFLA President-Elect (The International Federation of Library Associations) outlined the findings of the IFLA trend report, placing focus on trends 1 and 2, how technologies are both expanding but limiting access to information and how online education is disrupting online learning.
