   MARC21
     MARC21, or Machine-Readable Cataloging, is a standardized format for representing and sharing bibliographic and related information in a machine-readable format. Developed and maintained by the Library of
     Congress, MARC21 is used by library systems worldwide.

   UNIMARC
     UNIMARC, or Universal Machine-Readable Cataloging, is a standardized 
     format for representing and sharing bibliographic and related information 
     in a machine-readable format. Developed and mainatined by the Permanent 
     UNIMARC Committee of the International Federation of Library Associations 
     and Institutions (IFLA), and is widely used in some parts of Europe 
     (including France).
